Clark, Reese in WNBA ROY Race

WNBA Rookie of the Year Race Heating Up Between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese

The race for WNBA Rookie of the Year award is intensifying, with Indiana’s Caitlin Clark and Chicago’s Angel Reese emerging as frontrunners. Both players have showcased exceptional talent and skill throughout the season, setting new records and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the league.

In their recent matchup, Indiana defeated Chicago 100-81, with Clark leading the way with 31 points and 12 assists – a performance that made history as the first of its kind in WNBA history.

Clark’s incredible season averages of 18.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game have never been seen before in the league. She holds the WNBA record for most three-pointers made by a rookie and is on track to break more records before the season ends.

Reese, on the other hand, has been dominating the boards, setting a new standard for rebounding with an average of 12.9 per game. Her consistency and performance have already broken several rookie records, including the most double-doubles in a season.

As the season nears its end, the debate intensifies over who deserves the Rookie of the Year title. Will it be the record-breaking Clark or the double-double queen Reese? The decision rests in the hands of the award voters, but one thing is for sure – both players have left an indelible mark on the WNBA this season.
