Chocolate Muffin Wins Gold at Olympic Bakery in Village

Welcome to the Paris Olympics Bakery, where heavenly scents of freshly baked bread and delectable pastries waft through the air. While the intention was for traditional French fare to steal the spotlight, it was the American-inspired chocolate muffin that took social media by storm.

Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen, fondly known as the “muffin man,” garnered millions of views on TikTok for his videos featuring this decadent treat. With an overwhelming rating of 11/10, Christiansen raved about the muffin’s rich chocolate flavor and gooey fudge center.

During his stay in the Olympic village, Christiansen indulged in seven or eight of these chocolate delights. As an endurance athlete, he justified his daily consumption of these high-calorie treats, much to the envy of others.

The bakery, a bustling hub in the village, became a favorite spot for athletes from around the globe. Chief baker Tony Doré shared how athletes embraced the French tradition of starting their day with a fresh baguette, expressing their love for the aroma and taste of the bread.

In addition to the famous baguettes, the bakery also introduced a special “cocoa bread” for the athletes, tailored to meet their dietary needs. Other pastries like custard pie, Paris-Brest, and lemon tart also delighted the athletes’ taste buds.

American stars like Simone Biles and Fred Kerley were among the many athletes who visited the bakery, immersing themselves in the art of bread-making. The demand for these delectable treats grew so rapidly that the bakers had to increase their daily output to satisfy the cravings of the athletes.

As the Paralympic Games approach, the bakery remains open, ready to welcome a new wave of athletes eager to savor these delightful creations. For those wanting to recreate the magic at home, the recipe for the famous chocolate muffin is now available on TikTok.

Don’t miss out on this culinary adventure at the Paris Olympics Bakery, where every bite tells a story of passion and delight.
