Chiefs Sign Kareem Hunt to Practice Squad
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs are bringing back Kareem Hunt, their former star running back, who is now joining their practice squad. This move comes after injuries to key players on the team.
Hunt was released by the Chiefs in 2018 due to a video showing him assaulting a woman. However, the team has decided to give him another chance now that they are in need of additional running backs.
The Chiefs’ decision to sign Hunt was prompted by injuries to their top running backs, Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. With these players sidelined, the team needed reinforcements at the position for the upcoming game against Atlanta.
While Hunt is expected to stay on the practice squad initially, he has the potential to contribute to the team once he familiarizes himself with the playbook.
Hunt previously played for the Chiefs, making a significant impact on the team during his time there. Despite his past controversies, the Chiefs are hopeful that he can help them in their quest for a third consecutive Super Bowl title this season.
As Hunt returns to Kansas City, fans are eager to see how he will perform and whether he can recapture the success he had during his earlier years with the team.
