Get ready to give the Boerne Little League All-Stars a hero’s welcome when they return home on Monday, win or lose!
The City of Boerne has exciting plans for a celebration parade to honor the team’s achievements so far. Currently, Boerne is gearing up for the U.S. Championship final against the team from Lake Mary, Florida, set to take place on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., with live coverage on KSAT 12.
If Boerne emerges victorious on Saturday, they will advance to Sunday’s Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game, starting at 2 p.m. and also airing on KSAT 12.
Once the team returns to Boerne on Monday afternoon, the downtown parade will kick off around 4:45 p.m. The city is encouraging the public to line Main Street between Main Plaza and Thiessen Street starting at 5 p.m.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., Main Street will be closed off as the Boerne Little League All-Stars are escorted by the city’s police and fire departments. The parade route will wind from Main Plaza to River Road and back to Main Plaza.
Following the parade, attendees can head to Main Plaza for the team’s formal celebration, starting around 5:30 p.m. During this time, the All-Stars will be recognized by various city officials.
The festivities are expected to wrap up around 6 p.m., but timing may vary based on the team’s return on Monday. If you can’t make it to the parade, don’t worry – KSAT will be providing live coverage on KSAT 12, KSAT.com, and streaming on KSAT+.
