Boerne Champion Chargers look to improve on 8-3 record from last season

The Boerne Champion Chargers are gearing up for an exciting season with 28 lettermen returning from a strong squad that went 8-3 last year and made it to the bi-district round of the playoffs.

While the team lost 42 lettermen to graduation, they have key starters returning on both offense and defense to lead the charge. The challenge lies in replacing skilled players, but the Chargers are ready to step up to the plate.

Before diving into the tough competition of their district, Boerne Champion will face off in three non-district games. Their district, 13-5A D1, includes powerhouse teams like Smithson Valley and Pieper, making for an intense season ahead.

Mark your calendars for the season opener on Friday, Aug. 30, as the Chargers take on United South High School at home. It’s sure to be a thrilling game that kicks off what promises to be an unforgettable season for Boerne Champion.
