Betts returns from injury, homers for Dodgers as he shifts back to outfield

Welcome back, Mookie Betts!

Welcome back to the field, Mookie Betts! The eight-time All-Star recently returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers after a two-month absence due to a broken hand. Betts, who primarily played shortstop this season, made his comeback in right field and made an immediate impact by hitting a two-run homer in his first game back.

Despite his success at shortstop, Betts is embracing his return to right field with open arms. “It’s not like I’ve been years away from it,” Betts said. “It hasn’t even been a year. I’ve still got it in me.”

Betts, who turns 32 in October, will be wearing a hand guard to protect himself after being hit by a fastball in June. Despite his versatility, Betts acknowledges the talent of his teammates and believes that playing right field is the best move for himself and the team.

The Dodgers have a strong lineup of players, including Gold Glove winners at shortstop and second base. With the addition of Tommy Edman and the solid play of Gavin Lux, Betts feels confident in his role in right field. Manager Dave Roberts also expressed his support for Betts in this position, given the team’s current roster.

As Betts settles back into right field, he is focused on helping the team win and is excited to be back in his comfort zone. With his return, the Dodgers are poised to make a strong push as they chase a World Series title.

Stay tuned for more exciting games from Betts and the Dodgers as they make their playoff push!
