Welcome to the Weekend Box Office Report

Movie lovers flocked to theaters this weekend to catch the latest installment of the fan-favorite franchise “Beetlejuice”. After its enormous opening, the Tim Burton sequel dominated the domestic box office once again, raking in an impressive $51.6 million in ticket sales. Surpassing all expectations, the film has already grossed $188 million in North America and $264.3 million worldwide.

While facing little competition, “Beetlejuice” maintained its stronghold at the box office. New releases like the James McAvoy horror flick “Speak No Evil” and the action-packed “The Killer’s Game” made their debut but couldn’t surpass the popularity of the beloved haunted house comedy.

In second place, “Speak No Evil” captivated audiences with its chilling storyline and stellar performances. Starring McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, and Scoot McNairy, the film earned an estimated $11.5 million in ticket sales.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” held onto the third spot, continuing to impress with its box office longevity. The Disney and Marvel hit has now grossed $621.5 million in North America and $1.3 billion globally.

The bold and controversial film “Am I Racist?” secured the fourth position with $4.7 million in earnings. This mockumentary, directed by Justin Folk and starring conservative columnist Matt Walsh, delves into sensitive social issues with a satirical twist.

In a limited release, the critically acclaimed “My Old Ass” made its debut in select theaters, captivating audiences with its coming-of-age story. The film, starring Maisy Stella, is set to expand its reach on September 27.

It’s been a thrilling weekend at the box office, with audience favorites and new releases vying for the spotlight. Stay tuned for more updates on the latest cinematic hits and misses.
