Bagent guides Bears to 34-21 victory; Coleman injured, taken on stretcher

The Chicago Bears showcased their depth in a preseason showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs, pulling out a 34-21 victory in a game where both teams rested their starters. Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent led the charge with a touchdown and a solid performance, making a strong case for the backup job behind Caleb Williams. Meanwhile, Reddy Steward and Velus Jones stepped up with standout plays on defense and offense, respectively.

Despite the impressive showing from the Bears, the game was overshadowed by a scary moment when Bears cornerback Douglas Coleman III suffered a serious injury and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. However, there was a sigh of relief when he was seen moving his limbs and giving a thumbs-up on his way to the hospital.

On the Chiefs’ side, Carson Steele stood out with a strong performance, making a case for a backup role with a series of impressive runs. Additionally, the team announced a lucrative contract extension for Creed Humphrey, who watched from the sidelines with Patrick Mahomes and other starters during the game.

Overall, it was a night of mixed emotions for both teams, with standout performances and concerning injuries. As the regular season approaches, both the Bears and the Chiefs will look to build on the positives from this preseason finale.

Stay tuned for more NFL updates and analysis as the regular season kicks off.
