AUSTIN,
Texas – Exciting news for Longhorns fans as Texas announces Arch Manning as the starting
quarterback for their upcoming game against Mississippi State. Manning will step in for the injured
Quinn Ewers, who is recovering from a strained abdomen.
After previous
uncertainty surrounding Ewers’ availability, it was confirmed just before kickoff that Manning would
lead the Longhorns on the field. Manning, with one start under his belt, will now face Mississippi
State in their first Southeastern Conference game since transitioning from the Big 12.
Manning has
displayed impressive skill this season, throwing eight touchdowns and scoring two on the ground. His
standout performance in Texas’ recent victories against UTSA and Louisiana-Monroe has solidified his
position as a key player for the Longhorns.
