SAN ANTONIO – A quiet morning turned tragic on the Northwest Side of San Antonio as a man in his 50s lost his life in a devastating crash.

The incident occurred on I-10 near Scenic Loop Road in the early hours of Monday, approximately at 1:45 a.m.

Reports suggest that the man and a woman were attempting to move their vehicle off the highway when a gray pickup truck collided with the back of their car and fled the scene.

Despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries at the crash site. Fortunately, the woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man, leaving loved ones waiting for answers.

As law enforcement continues the search for the driver responsible for the tragic hit-and-run, the community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.
