In a shocking case out of San Antonio, a former fifth-grade teacher has been sentenced to 325 months in federal prison for a heinous child sex crime. Keisha Lyn Swarner, 42, was convicted of persuading a 13-year-old boy to have sex with a 12-year-old girl.
Court documents revealed that Swarner arranged meetings between the two children at her home on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. She used text messages to encourage their sexual encounters and warned the boy not to tell his parents about their activities.
Swarner was taken into custody on April 14, 2022, and has since been held in federal custody. She entered a guilty plea on Jan. 9, 2024, admitting to one count of sexual performance by a child, acknowledging her role in facilitating sexual conduct between minors.
