MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill caused a stir on Sunday when he was briefly detained by police for a traffic violation while entering Hard Rock Stadium. The incident occurred just hours before his team’s season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Video footage posted on the social media site X showed Hill lying face down on the ground as officers handcuffed him. However, Hill was quickly released and is now gearing up to play in the game, confirmed his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
The Dolphins released a statement assuring that Hill has safely arrived at the stadium. According to the team, several teammates witnessed the incident and offered their support. They confirmed that Hill and the other players involved are ready for the game.
