KENDALL COUNTY, Texas – A night of excitement turned into chaos as bleachers collapsed at Kendall County’s Fair Grounds, leaving 12 people injured. The incident occurred during a rodeo event at the Fair Grounds on River Road.
Emergency responders from the Boerne Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance. Eight of the injured individuals were transported to hospitals for further treatment, while the remaining four received on-site care.
The collapse disrupted the festivities at the Fair Grounds, forcing officials to postpone the activities planned for the evening. Concerns about the safety of the rodeo grounds led the Boerne Fire Marshal’s Office and the city’s Permitting and Code Compliance Office to assess the situation for the fair scheduled the following morning.
