H-E-B Partners with NCAA Champion Madi Skinner for First NIL Deal
AUSTIN – H-E-B recently announced a groundbreaking partnership with three-time NCAA volleyball champion and Texas Longhorn athlete, Madisen “Madi” Skinner, for the company’s inaugural Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal.
Ashwin Nathan, H-E-B’s group vice president of marketing and payments, expressed the company’s commitment to community and local talent. He emphasized that the collaboration with Skinner goes beyond her athletic accomplishments and is more about celebrating hard work, dedication, and a shared commitment to giving back to the state of Texas.
“We’re excited to welcome Madi to the H-E-B family and look forward to the positive impact we will create together,” Nathan stated.
Skinner, a lifelong H-E-B fan, shared her excitement about the partnership, highlighting how it resonates with her values of hard work, community involvement, and inspiring the next generation of athletes. She reminisced about the grocery store being a significant part of her family’s life and expressed her pride in representing female college athletes as H-E-B’s first NIL partner.
To mark the beginning of their collaboration, Skinner and H-E-B will host a charitable event at Del Valle ISD’s Popham Elementary School on Sept. 3. The event will involve engaging with young athletes, distributing Skinner’s favorite H-E-B items, and presenting a $10,000 donation to Brighter Bites, a nonprofit dedicated to combating childhood hunger in Texas.
Furthermore, Skinner will make appearances at H-E-B campus events in Austin, with details to be announced soon.
Skinner has already featured in three H-E-B commercials, showcasing her versatility both on and off the volleyball court. To watch the commercials, visit the H-E-B website.
