Welcome to the 2024 U.S. Open!
Excitement is in the air as the 2024 U.S. Open, the year’s final Grand Slam tennis tournament, kicks off today. Defending champions Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic are set to make their mark on Day 1.
Gauff will take on Varvara Gracheva in Arthur Ashe Stadium, while Djokovic will face Radu Albot in the evening session. Other notable players in action include 2023 runner-up Aryna Sabalenka, as well as Americans Amanda Anisimova, Ben Shelton, and Taylor Fritz.
Stay tuned for Tuesday’s matches featuring No. 1 seeds Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner. Sinner has been in the spotlight recently after testing positive for steroids in March but managing to avoid suspension.
