Welcome to the LULAC Press Conference!
The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the nation’s largest and oldest Hispanic civil rights volunteer-based organization, is hosting a press conference to address the recent raids conducted by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton as part of an “ongoing election integrity investigation.”
Join us at 10:30 a.m. to watch the press conference live.
Speakers at the event include LULAC National President Roman Palomares, LULAC National Legislative Chairman Domingo García, and Texas LULAC State Director Gabriel Rosales. Texas State Sen. Roland Gutierrez and individuals affected by the raids will also be present.
LULAC alleges that Paxton’s searches of innocent senior voters are illegal and unconstitutional, conducted under the guise of combating voter fraud. Paxton maintains that the warrants were obtained based on a two-year investigation.
“Secure elections are crucial to our democracy,” Paxton stated. “We are dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of every legal vote and holding accountable those who violate election laws.”
LULAC plans to take several actions, including urging the US Dept. of Justice and the FBI to investigate Paxton and his agents for various violations related to the raids.
Stay tuned for updates as this story develops.
