Medical examiner identifies woman who died at hospital after falling off truck

SAN ANTONIO – The woman involved in a tragic incident on the Northwest Side has been identified as Roxana Bafidis, 32, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. Bafidis suffered blunt-force injuries after falling off a truck around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, and her death was ruled an accident by the medical examiner’s office.

San Antonio police reported that Bafidis was arguing with an unidentified man in a truck at an apartment complex in the 17800 block of La Cantera Terrace. When authorities arrived, they found Bafidis with a severe head injury and rushed her to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Tragically, Bafidis was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Witnesses at the scene recounted that Bafidis had gripped onto the truck as the man drove away, causing her to fall off and hit her head. The driver of the truck fled the scene, but if apprehended, he will face charges for failing to stop and render aid to the victim, as per the police.
