A three-year-old New Braunfels ISD student didn’t make it home on her normal bus route two days in a row, leaving her mom and the school district investigating the second incident where she was mistakenly left on the bus.
Camilla, a pre-kindergarten student, didn’t get off the bus on Wednesday, August 21, or Thursday, August 22. Her mom expressed concern and escalated the issue to the school for investigation.
After a mix-up on the first day, Camilla was left on the bus again the following day. Her mom described the terrifying moments of not knowing her daughter’s whereabouts and eventually finding out she was still on the bus.
New Braunfels ISD assured the public that they are investigating the situation and emphasized the safety of their students as a top priority. They also mentioned that there are cameras on the bus to monitor situations like this.
Despite the district’s reassurance, Camilla’s mom claimed her daughter was left alone on the bus without proper supervision or air conditioning. This incident left Camilla feeling sad and her mom demanding answers.
As the investigation continues, Camilla’s mom has decided to keep her off the bus until she feels confident in the safety measures taken by the school district.
