SAN ANTONIO – Struggling to find affordable childcare as your kids head back to school? The YMCA San Antonio has got you covered with their after-school care services, catering to 69 schools across 7 different local districts.

Here are the districts served by the YMCA San Antonio:

• Boerne ISD

• New Braunfels ISD

• SCUCISD

• La Vernia ISD

• Southwest ISD

• San Antonio ISD

• Private Charter Schools

With around 4,000 students enrolled in the program, the YMCA charges $88, offering a 10% discount to Y members. Shannon Gowen, a representative from the Y, emphasized their dedication to service.

“Many families we serve have both parents working, creating a critical need for childcare,” she said.

Due to overwhelming demand, there’s currently a waitlist for the program, particularly in SAISD and New Braunfels ISD. Gowen highlighted the importance of more job applicants to meet this need.

“If you’re looking for part-time work and enjoy working with children, or if you’re a retired teacher, we would love to have you on board,” she said.
