SAN ANTONIO – In a shocking incident early Wednesday morning, a woman in her 40s was shot multiple times by a man during an altercation at a traffic light, as reported by San Antonio police.

The incident took place at a mobile home park in Von Ormy, where officers responded to a call about a wounded person around 4:45 a.m. in the 14100 block of Interstate 35 access Road.

According to authorities, a man and a woman in separate vehicles got into an argument at a traffic light near Ray Ellison Boulevard and Southwest Loop 410. The couple was reportedly going through a relationship separation.

During the altercation, the man pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, hitting the woman in each arm and grazing her in the back of the head before fleeing the scene.

The victim managed to drive to her family in Von Ormy, who called for help. She was then taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance and is expected to recover from her injuries.

San Antonio Police Department stated that the suspected shooter, a man in his 50s, remains at large as the investigation continues.

The response to the incident involved the San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS teams.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
