SAN ANTONIO – Tragedy struck on the Northeast Side of San Antonio as one person lost their life and another was hospitalized after a shooting incident, as reported by San Antonio police.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 6400 block of Interstate 35 North.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the stomach and passed away at the scene, as confirmed by police.
The other victim sustained a gunshot wound in his arm and potentially other parts of his body, according to SAPD. Though unable to provide extensive details, he managed to communicate with officers.
Police noted a blood trail from one of the victims, leading to his eventual collapse.
SAPD is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have detained one individual for further questioning.
