SAN ANTONIO – In a dramatic turn of events, San Antonio fire investigators are on the lookout for the culprit behind a fire that ravaged an apartment complex on the city’s Northwest Side overnight.
The blaze was reported around midnight at the Executive Apartments in the heart of the city, located in the 100 block of De Chantel Road, just a stone’s throw away from the bustling Vance Jackson Road and Interstate 10.
Firefighters sprang into action upon arrival, with flames visible at the scene. Thankfully, they managed to swiftly douse the fire before it could cause further damage.
Officials noted that the entire building was intricately boarded up and it seemed like someone had forcibly removed the boards from one of the first-floor apartments. The exact cause of the fire remains a mystery, as investigations are underway.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that authorities have been summoned to the apartment complex, indicating a possible pattern of suspicious incidents.
While the extent of the damage is yet to be determined, thankfully, there were no casualties reported in the aftermath of the fire.
