The Smithson Valley Rangers football team is gearing up for another exciting season in the greater San Antonio area. Led by head coach Larry Hill, the Rangers are poised to dominate District 13-5A-D1 according to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football predictions.
This year, the competition will be fierce with talented teams like Pieper, New Braunfels, Wagner, and Boerne Champion in the mix. Despite the challenges ahead, the Rangers remain focused on their goal of clinching the district title.
Coming off a strong 14-2 record last year, which culminated in a tough loss to Aledo in the state final, the Rangers are looking to fill the gaps left by the departure of key players, particularly in the offensive line. Coach Hill is optimistic about the team’s prospects, despite the lack of experience in certain positions.
With the return of 42 lettermen and eight starters, including a solid defensive lineup, the Rangers are ready to showcase their talent on the field. Ranked fifth in the preseason rankings, Smithson Valley is determined to make a statement this season.
