The Latest from the NFL Preseason: Kansas City Chiefs Receiver Marquise Brown Injured
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In a recent preseason game against Jacksonville, Kansas City Chiefs receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown suffered a dislocated clavicle, signaling a potential setback for the two-time defending Super Bowl champions.
Brown, who joined the Chiefs on a one-year, $7 million deal in March, landed awkwardly on his shoulder after making an 11-yard reception on the first play of the game.
Coach Andy Reid commented, “I think he’ll miss some time. We’ll just see where he’s at. He’s kind of going through it right now, and we’ll know more later on.”
This injury is reminiscent of the one that sidelined former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill for four games in 2019. It’s the same sternoclavicular joint dislocation that Hill experienced on the same field in the regular-season opener that year.
