DALLAS – Dallas Mavericks sensation Luka Doncic has suffered a calf injury during preseason practice that will require a week of re-evaluation.
The Mavericks are currently in Las Vegas for their training camp, and there is uncertainty surrounding Doncic’s current location – whether he has accompanied the team or remains in Dallas. Media day was held on Monday, before the team began a three-day camp in Nevada on Tuesday.
This injury setback for Doncic follows a similar one experienced by his fellow star guard Kyrie Irving, who broke his thumb during offseason workouts after Dallas’ defeat to Boston in the NBA Finals.
Irving has stated that his thumb is healing well and he has resumed basketball activities in September.
