SAN ANTONIO – A shocking incident unfolded at a Valero gas station on the South Side, leaving a man hospitalized after being shot while pumping gas. The San Antonio police are investigating the matter.
The distressing event occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Valero gas station located in the 13900 block of Southwest Loop 410. The victim was in the midst of refueling his vehicle when an assailant inside a silver SUV unleashed gunfire in his direction, causing chaos and panic in the area.
After the shots were fired, the silver SUV hastily exited the gas station and sped off onto a nearby street, continuing their aggressive actions by firing more rounds. The street was littered with several shell casings, highlighting the intensity of the situation.
The silver SUV then made a quick escape towards Roosevelt Avenue on the Loop 410 access road, leaving authorities in pursuit. Meanwhile, the victim, having sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, was promptly taken to a local hospital for urgent medical attention.
As of now, the police are uncertain about the number of individuals present in the silver SUV during the violent incident.
