The Journey of Cornerstone Christian Volleyball Team
SAN ANTONIO – The Cornerstone Christian Volleyball team (28-2) has been on a relentless pursuit of the top ranking in the country for years.
With eight seniors and a roster filled with Division I talent, the Warriors believe that this is their year to achieve what no Warrior team has achieved before.
Head volleyball coach Mike Carter expressed his excitement, stating, “The coolest part about it is I don’t have to beg for effort. You can actually coach technique because they’re so coachable.”
Cornerstone Christian has previously reached the No. 2 spot in the national poll and held the No. 1 ranking in Texas.
Senior setter Kaia Thiele highlighted the team’s competitive yet fun atmosphere, stating, “Our team has so much fun together. We hold everybody to a high standard, but we get to have fun as well because we win.”
The Warriors credit their success to their faith, emphasizing the importance of unity and trust in God.
As the season nears its end, the Warriors are gearing up for their final home game and a crucial tournament in Arizona, fuelled by both excitement and bittersweet emotions.
The team is focused on making the most of every moment and supporting each other as they navigate the final stretch of the season.
