SAN ANTONIO – Exciting developments are happening at the iconic Villita Assembly Hall in downtown San Antonio. Purchased by developers in early 2024, this historic landmark is undergoing a major revamp to usher in a new era.
Local real estate firm MLSA Ventures has been hard at work on this project, obtaining approvals and certifications to kickstart the renovation process. With most obstacles out of the way, the plan is to begin renovations in the summer of 2025. The focus is to enhance the connection to the River Walk and draw more people to downtown San Antonio.
To achieve these goals, the developers are looking towards food and beverage offerings. Real estate giant JLL is tasked with finding operators who can elevate the dining experience at the Villita Assembly Hall. The aim is to create a dining scene that rivals the popular Pearl district.
Several concepts are being considered, including having one operator on the street level and up to three operators near the River Walk. The focus will be on food and beverage as well as experiential retail offerings.
