LAREDO, Texas – Federal agents seized a staggering $6.5 million worth of methamphetamine at a Laredo port of entry on Friday.
The bust occurred at the World Trade Bridge when a man driving a utility refrigerated trailer claimed he was transporting a load of flowers, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Subsequent inspection by CBP officers revealed a shocking discovery – 712 pounds of meth concealed within the flowers.
The drugs were promptly seized by CBP, with Homeland Security Investigations special agents now leading the probe into the case.
